Michael F. Agnini, D.D.S.
Dr. Michael Agnini graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, in 1972. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University in 1967, and also completed one year of graduate training in Biology.
Dr. Agnini served in the United States Air Force, Dental Corps for two years, completing a rotating specialty dental training. He served as a dental examiner for the Florida State Board of Dentistry, from 1980-1983 and as grade review coordinator for the board from 1982-1983. In addition to keeping up to date on the most advanced procedures in dentistry, he has also completed over 1000 hours of continuing education in orthodontics, treatment of TMJ and sleep disorders.
  He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Polk County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, American Academy of Cranio-Facial Pain, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and the International Association for Orthodontics, where he is a certified senior instructor. Dr. Michael has authored an article in the 2008 winter edition of the International Journal of Orthodontics.
 
Dr. Michael’s wife, Donna, is office manager, and they have the pleasure of working together with their two sons, Dr. Matt and Dr. Drew. Their daughter Ashley, will graduate in May 2009, from dental hygiene school and join her father and two brothers at Agnini Family Dental.
Dr. Michael has been in family practice in Lakeland since 1979. In addition to performing all general dentistry procedures, his special areas of focus are orthodontics, treatment of TMJ and sleep disorders.
Dr. Michael enjoys playing golf with his two sons, and being involved with overseas dental mission work in Africa, Central and South America, Southeast Asia, Russia and Romania over the past seventeen years.

 

 

 

 
Matthew M. Agnini, D.D.S.
Dr. Matthew Agnini has lived in Lakeland most of his life. He attended Evangel Christian School and Lake Gibson High school in Lakeland and later graduated from Florida Southern College in 1997. Dr. Matt, as he is known around the office, received his dental degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland in 2002 and completed a one year general dentistry residency at the Baltimore VA Hospital in 2003.
Dr. Matt met his wife Dr. Derry Agnini while in dental school and Dr. Derry is now an orthodontist and currently works at Scott and Associates Orthodontics in South Lakeland.
 
Dr. Matt has been on several foreign missions trips since 1994 and has brought his dental services to Africa and Russia, providing dental care to many who would otherwise never see a dentist. Dr. Matt and Dr. Derry are currently looking to plan their next foreign dental mission together. Dr. Matt is also a volunteer here at Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine where he can help serve the dental needs of Polk County’s underserved.
 
Dr. Matthew Agnini is currently serving as a board member for the Polk County Dental Association and is to be president of this organization in 2010. He is a member of the American, Florida, and Polk County Dental Associations as well as the Academy of General Dentistry.
 

 

  Dr. Matt performs most aspects of general dentistry with a special emphasis on dental sedation, dental implants, and complete smile makeovers. Dr. Matt is also a member of the following organizations related to these aspects of dentistry: The Florida Academy of Dental Sedation, The International Team for Implantology, The Academy of Osseointegration, The Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and The Florida Society of Dental Anesthesiology.
   
   
 
Andrew P. Agnini, D.D.S.
Dr. Andrew Agnini graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, in 2003. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College in 1999.
After graduation, Dr. Agnini completed a one-year general dental residency with major emphasis on surgical placement of dental implants at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Andrew is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Polk County Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Academy of Osteointegration.
 
Dr. Andrew is single, and his interests include golf, surfing and snowboarding. He has also worked with his father in dental missions in Russia and Zimbabwe, Africa.
